I didn't expect to catch so many smallmouth in these conditions, but the topwater bite was on fire! Using my trusty Whopper Plopper, I managed to hook ten smallmouth in no time.
Kayak fishing in high and fast water can be tricky, and I had some tough moments, but I managed to navigate through still catching ten smallmouth. The water was moving so fast that it became difficult to use finesse fishing techniques like the Ned rig, so the topwater bite became the go-to tactic.
